The script
Punjabi is written in more than one script, and Speakline writes it in Gurmukhi. If you need Shahmukhi, this is not the app for that — worth knowing before you install rather than after.
It transcribes and does not translate. Speak Punjabi and Punjabi is what lands in the field; there is no setting that turns it into English on the way there.
Auto mode, honestly
Speakline has an Auto mode for speech that switches language mid-sentence. It covers ten languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian and Dutch — and Punjabi is not one of them. That list comes from the transcription engine rather than from us, and saying so plainly beats letting you find out from a bad transcript. For Punjabi, set the language to Punjabi.
Text styles
The four text styles — Clean, Formal, Casual and Excited — change the mark a sentence ends on, and they apply to languages written in the Latin alphabet. A Gurmukhi sentence closes with ।, not a full stop, so welding a Latin mark onto the end would be putting punctuation in the middle of your text. Punjabi comes back Clean whatever style is selected.

Gurmukhi. Speakline has one Punjabi setting and it writes Gurmukhi. There is no Shahmukhi option.
No. Speakline isn't a keyboard and doesn't appear in the keyboard picker. It types into the field through Android's accessibility service, so whatever keyboard you already have stays where it is.
No. Auto covers ten languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian and Dutch — and Punjabi is not among them. For Punjabi, set the language to Punjabi.
No. Speakline transcribes in the cloud and needs a connection every time you speak, in Punjabi as in every other language. It doesn't fall back to your phone's built-in recogniser.
